Dr. Rodrigues is a member of the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra and the Official Aguascalientes Big Band. Additionally, he excels in chamber music, being part of the Cuarteto Amicis and the trombone and piano duo Fiati e Tasti. In the field of education, he serves as a research professor in the Music Department at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA) and as the musical director of the Trombón Studio at UAA.
He has participated in prominent music festivals, including TROMBONTEPEC (2025 and 2024, Mexico) as a recitalist and guest instructor, the International Trombone Festival 2024 (USA) as a presenter, and has studied under maestro Jacques Mauger at the renowned Uttwiler Meisterkurse festival (Switzerland), among other notable events. Furthermore, he has received awards as a soloist and chamber musician, such as the Concours du Disque de l’Université Laval and the Prêmio Jovem Solista Furnas. As a soloist, he has performed with various orchestras, including the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra and the Camerata of the Universidade de Brasília (Brazil), among others.
Moreover, he has served as artistic director of the Aguascalientes Philharmonic Orchestra (Orquesta Filarmónica de Aguascalientes) since 2023 and the Orquesta Aguascalientes Esperanza Azteca-Bonaterra since 2025. He has conducted ensembles in Mexico and Brazil, including the Orchestra and Choir of the Escola de Música Bsb Musical, as well as trombone choirs from the Escola de Música de Brasília and the Universidade de Brasília. Likewise, he has guest-conducted the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of the State of Zacatecas, Community of Municipal Orchestras of Aguascalientes, and Official Aguascalientes Big Band.
Mr. Rodrigues holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from the Universidade de Brasília (Brazil), was a student in the Master's program in Musical Performance at Université Laval (Canada), and holds a PhD in Education, focusing his research on optimizing musical performance through educational strategies based on Emotional Intelligence. Dr. Rodrigues began his musical studies in the band of the Colégio Militar de Brasília under the tutelage of Maestro Landgrad. His first trombone mentors were Lucas Borges and Paulo Roberto.
