Dr. Rodrigues is a member of the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra and the Official Aguascalientes Big Band. Additionally, he excels in chamber music, being part of the Cuarteto Amicis and the trombone and piano duo Amicitia. In the educational field, he serves as a research professor in the Music Department at the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA) and as the musical director of the Trombone Studio UAA. Since 2023, he has served as the artistic director of the Aguascalientes Philharmonic Orchestra and, since 2025, as the director of the Orquesta Aguascalientes Esperanza Azteca-Bonaterra.
He has participated in significant music festivals, including TROMBONTEPEC 2025 and 2024 (Mexico) as a recitalist and guest instructor, the International Trombone Festival 2024 (USA) as a presenter, and also studied under maestro Jacques Mauger at the prestigious Uttwiler Meisterkurse festival (Switzerland), and others notable events. Furthermore, he has won awards as a soloist and chamber musician, including the Concours du Disque de l’Université Laval and the Prêmio Jovem Solista Furnas. As a soloist, he has performed with various orchestras, such as the Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra and the Camerata of the Uniersidad de Brasília (Brazil), among others.
Mr. Rodrigues holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from the Universidad de Brasília (Brazil), and was a student of the Master's degree in Musical Performance at Université Laval (Canada), and holds a PhD in Education, adopting as a line of research the optimization of musical performance through educational strategies based on Emotional Intelligence. Dr. Rodrigues began his musical studies in the band of the Colégio Militar de Brasília under the tutelage of Maestro Landgrad. His first trombone mentors were Lucas Borges and Paulo Roberto.
